Spotlight on Ms. Driscoll

Spotlight on Ms. Driscoll
alt textThis is your first year teaching at St. Joseph - what brought you to our school?

I met Mrs. Fleck two years ago during a visit to Kelowna. The day I was here there were parents hosting a BBQ in the parking lot. I felt a sense of community and positivity. I value Catholic education and knew this school was a great fit for me.

What do you love about teaching here?

I love my colleagues and students. We work hard but have fun too! I like the way the school feels - warm and welcoming.

What is your favourite part of each school day?

Morning prayer with my students. It is a chance for us to connect, offer our special intentions, and build our classroom community.

What is one thing about St. Joseph School that surprised you?

I was surprised that students say thank you at the end of the day.

Where did you grow up? What brought you to Kelowna?

I grew up in Peterborough, Ontario. We moved to Kelowna for better weather and to enjoy the mountains!

What kind of hobbies do you enjoy outside of school?

I like to be active outdoors, read, and spend time with my family.

What did you want to be when you were young?

I wanted to be an actress 😊
